As part of JC Butko Engineering’s continual improvement program, we are pleased to announce that we have achieved Certification for ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System. ISO 45001:2018 is an international standard for the management system of Occupational Health & Safety which sets out a comprehensive group of Occupational Health & Safety elements that must be achieved and maintained by the organisation.
What does this mean to all of our stakeholders;
JC Butko Engineering has once again achieved Full Prequalification Status for TfNSW – CC3 Steel Fabrication, enabling the fabrication of all complex steel items as listed in the NPS Guidelines.
This is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to Quality and Safety in delivering complex steel items and building the future for TfNSW infrastructure.
In 2020 JC Butko Engineering welcomed the opening of our new 2100 square metre fabrication facility, complete with 3 x 10T Overhead Cranes, 9m underhook lifting capacity, and 100kW solar system. The new facility accommodates a team of 20-30 highly skilled and experienced fabricators dedicated the fabrication and delivery of complex mild steel projects.
Installed in May 2020, the Yawei fiber laser is an 8kW HLF model featuring a high cutting speed, extreme accuracy and a large format 2m x 6m cutting bed. The machine can comfortably cut up to 32mm Mild Steel, Stainless and Aluminium. Anything thicker can be handled by our in-house Water Jet Cutter (up to 100mm thick).

JC Butko Engineering is proud to welcome the addition of two new state-of-the-art Yawei CNC Pressbrakes.
The purchase of a 630 Tonne x 6.2m machine for large projects and 300 Tonne x 4.1m machine for intricate high-precision work, will ensure we continue to be market leaders in delivering Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium press work.
This is the 4th Year JC Butko Engineering has sponsored the Wodonga Middle Years College. The Event which is held yearly involves different schools which are sponsored by a variety of industries from around the border. The objective of the program is to design and build a solar car and to expose the students to various career options relative to their mentors and sponsored industry.

Thales Australia – Inaugural Industrial Partners and Suppliers Conference and Excellence Awards in Canberra
JC Butko Engineering was awarded with the Thales Australia Supplier HSE Award. This nomination was put forward as recognition for the outstanding achievements of the Butko Thales Team, and their collaborative and proactive approach towards improving HSE culture at the Mulwala Facility.
